About
Boston Jazz Calendar is a free, non-commercial, independent listing,
run by a local jazz musician and not affiliated with any venue,
artist or promoter. No ads, no cookies; we count visits
anonymously with our own analytics, which stores no IP addresses
or personal data.
Listings come from venues’ own sites, public calendars and
Ticketmaster’s public listings. Our collector,
BostonJazzCalendarBot, visits each once a day, follows each site’s
robots.txt and terms, and takes only the facts: date, time, who’s
playing and price. We never copy descriptions or photos, and every
listing links back to its source. Musicians and venues can also
submit gigs; we check each one before it
appears.

Where listings come from
Weekly regulars: from each venue’s own site, rechecked now and
then.
Submitted gigs, marked “via gig submission”: sent in by
musicians and venues through our form and
checked against the link they give.
